FREDERICKSBURG, VA - Stephen Jay Brannan, 70, passed away on Tuesday, March 25, 2008, at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg, Virginia. He was the husband of Garnet Brannan.
Steve served his country in the United States Navy and also as a civilian employee in systems research and engineering for the US Navy at Dahlgren, Virginia.
Along with his wife, Garnet, he is survived by his daughters, Sharon Brannan-Stockwell and her husband, David, and Karen Kyle and her husband, Kevin; his sons, Michael Brannan and his wife, Jocelyn, and Rick Beebout and his wife, Becky; his sister, Martha Brannan Allison; seven grandchildren, Jesse Beebout, Luke Beebout, Avery Kyle, Andrew Stockwell, Jessica Brannan, Caroline Stockwell and Anthony Brannan.
The family will receive friends on Friday, March 28, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. in Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, Fredericksburg Chapel. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2008, at 1:00 P.M. in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Foundation Fighting Blindness, P.O. Box 17279, Baltimore, MD 21297.
