James Madison Dincolo, 68, of South Bend, died at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 24, in Memorial Hospital, South Bend.

Mr. Dincolo was born June 27, 1937, in Somerville, Mass., to James Dincolo and Celica (Fletcher) Dincolo who predeceased him.

He is survived by his wife, Martha (Alby) Dincolo; sons, Michael R. (Leann) Dincolo of South Bend, J. Thomas (Jill) Dincolo of Holly, Mich., David A. (Lisa) Dincolo of Chicago, Ill., Sandford G. (Faith) Dincolo of Alta Loma, Calif., and Thomas (Teresa) Casella of Leesburg, Va.; daughters, Marsha (Chris McGee) Dincolo of West Bend, Wis., and Barbara (Seth) Guthrie of Encinitas, Calif.; four grandsons and two granddaughters; a brother, Andrew (Diann) Dincolo of Milford, Mich.; sister, Mary Anne (Robert Miotke) Dincolo of The Villages, Fla., and Hilda Farrell (Aunt) of South Bend; and other extended family members.

Mr. Dincolo, a 1955 graduate of John Adams High School and 1959 graduate of the University of Notre Dame, was a member of South Bend Civic Alliance, the Notre Dame Club of South Bend, the South Bend Chamber of Commerce, and member and past president of the Michiana Kiwanis Club.

Family and friends may attend visitation at 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. today, Oct. 29, 2005, in the Hickey Funeral Home, 17131 Cleveland Road, South Bend. Private family services will take place with future interment at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.

In lieu of lowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Regional Autism Center, c/o Logan Center, 2505 E. Jefferson Blvd., South Bend, IN 46615; or to the Hospice and Palliative Care Center, 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637.
