ELKHART - Patrick L. Breen, 57, of Elkhart passed away on August 2, 2010, at 6:22 P.M. in the Elkhart General Hospital from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born March 29, 1953, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He graduated from John Adams High School in South Bend, Indiana, and obtained his pilot's license from American Airlines. On August 21, 1993, he married Carol Pierce, who survives along with his children, Chris Bentley of Elkhart, Cyndi Bentley of Goshen and Vicki Adams of Union, MI. Patrick is also survived by brothers, Michael (Yvonne) Breen of St. Joseph, MI, and Kenny (Julie) Breen of North Liberty. He has three granddaughters, three great-grandsons and one great-granddaughter surviving. He is also survived by nephews, Christopher (Jennifer), Patrick (Stacie), Sean, Cory and Kelly Breen. He was preceded in death by his parents, John E. and Betty J. (Bruggner) Breen, and his biological father, Patrick Hurley. Patrick was a truck driver for Maple Tree and a former pilot for Von Marie Aerial Photography. He was a member of the Elkhart Church of God, and enjoyed flying. Services for Patrick will be held at 7 P.M. on Friday, August 6, 2010, in the Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home, 700 E. Jackson Blvd, Elkhart. Rev. B.J. Bishop from the Elkhart Church of God will preside. Visitation will be on Friday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. (two hours prior to services) in the funeral home. Burial will be held privately at Prairie Street Cemetery, Elkhart. Memorials in lieu of flowers may be made to the family. Online condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.wmzfh.com.
