Peggy L. Hallaert, 64, of South Bend, Indiana passed away peacefully at 5:22 a.m. Sunday, June 22, 2014 surrounded by her family. She was born on November 3, 1949 in South Bend, Indiana to Richard and Mary (Pfender) Taylor. She was united in marriage to Michael I. Hallaert on March 19, 2004 in South Carolina.

Peggy is survived by her loving husband, Michael Hallaert of South Bend, Indiana; two daughters, Cheryl (Kenneth) Noell of Lakeville, Indiana and Stacey (Jason) Wheeler of South Bend, Indiana; a step daughter, Angela (Jack) Brown of Greenville, South Carolina; a step son, Scott Hallaert of Washington, D.C.; four grandchildren, Lauren and Alex Noell, Austin and Audrey Wheeler; three step grandchildren, Ryan and Conner Hallaert and Elizabeth Brown; a sister, Judy Geisel of South Bend, Indiana and three brothers, Richard Taylor of South Bend, Indiana, Dave Taylor of South Bend, Indiana and Bob (Angie) Taylor of Elkhart, Indiana. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Zachary Wheeler.

Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, June 26, 2014 at the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan St., South Bend, Indiana. Friends may visit with the family from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
