Lee Ortenstein, 62, of South Bend, Ind passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2005.

He was born on March 24, 1943, in Chigago, Ill., to Robert and Annette Ortenstein, who both preceded him in death.

Lee started college at McMurray State in 1961. He then attended Indiana State University, whre he graduated with a Masters in History and Political Science. He worked most of his life as a contract administrator for the Federal Government.

Lee belonged to many differen organizations including Masonic Lodge, F&AM Lodge 208 in Davenport, Iowa, th Blue Lodge at SABR, the Saint Louis Brown Fan's Club, and he was a proud trombone player in the Jazz Ensemble at IUSB. Lee was also a member of Temple Beth-El and Sinai Synagogue.

Funeral Services for Lee will be held on Sunday, April 10, at 3 p.m. in the ForestG. Hay Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions are asked to go to Temple Beth-El.
