HUDSON - Frederick L. Edmonson, 79, of Division St., Hudson, died Friday morning, Feb. 2, 2018, at Lynwood Manor in Adrian. Born Jan. 14, 1939, in Terre Haute, Ind., he was the son of the late Clifford and Irene (Weese) Edmonson.

Fred lived his early life in Indiana, where he graduated from John Adams High School in South Bend, Class of 1957. He married Mary Ann LaGore on May 29, 1965, in East Lansing, Mich., and they later settled in Hudson in 1977. He spent most of his career in auto-part sales for companies in both Lansing and Adrian. Fred enjoyed bowling and reading, as well as the outdoor sports of fishing and hunting, and he rejoiced in watching his children and grandchildren play sports of all kinds.

Surviving are two daughters, Teresa Edmonson (and Andrew Wojcik) of Livonia, Mich., and Rachel Stiverson (and James Thomas) of Hudson; three sons, Frederick R.C. (Lisa) Edmonson of Comstock Park, Jason (Jennifer) Edmonson of Hudson and Erik (Jessica) Edmonson of Adrian; five sisters, Janice Ray of Cary, Ill., Janet (Orville) Bivens of Holloway, Tenn., Vera (Ernie) Molina of South Bend, Anna (Steve) Temple of Mishawka, and Marilyn Jenner of Cary, Ill.; 15 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; numerous beloved nieces and nephews; and special family friend and great help in Fred's waning years, Esaw Randell of Hudson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 36 years, Mary Ann; two brothers, Robert and Charles Edmonson; two sisters, Sandy Lehn and Carol Kollars; and a sister-in-law, Dee Edmonson.

The family will receive friends for a visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 5, 2018, at the Eagle Funeral Home in Hudson. A funeral service for Fred will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2018, at the Eagle Funeral Home in Hudson with the Rev. Brandon Maybee officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Hudson.
