Bob passed away at the age of 66 in his home. He was a music performance major
at Indiana University, and he played tuba in the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra for
25 years; he also performed with numerous other ensembles. He taught tuba at the
University of Wisconsin and Northwestern University, and he designed instruments
for many musicians around the country. He was proud of his Puritan ancestry and its

MISHAWAKA - Robert Alan Rusk, 66, residing in Mishawaka, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2015, at his home. Robert was born on November 25, 1948, in South Bend, Indiana, to the late Clyde Rusk and Betty (Hollis) Rusk. A music performance major at Indiana University, he played tuba in the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra for 25 years and also with numerous other ensembles. Bob taught tuba at the University of Wisconsin and Northwestern University, and designed instruments for many musicians around the country. He was proud of his Puritan ancestry and its influence on his life. He is survived by his sister, Carolyn Rusk (Dan Denov) of Lawrence, Michigan; nieces, Anna and Rebecca Rusk; and cousin, Dave (Pam) Walker of Elkhart, IN. Graveside services celebrating the life of Robert Alan Rusk will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 15, 2015, at the St. Joseph Valley Memorial Gardens in Granger, Indiana. Everyone is invited to attend and share in this time of remembrance. Palmer Funeral Home – River Park Chapel and Southlawn Cremation Services, are assisting the family with arrangements.
