Ross John Mangano

GRANGER - Ross John Mangano, 69, of Granger, died Monday afternoon at Eisenhower Medical Center in Rancho Mirage, CA.

Mr. Mangano was born August 24, 1945, in Mishawaka, to the late Rose Mary (Mammolenti) and Peter John Mangano, and was a lifetime resident. Wife of 49 years, Nancy J. Mangano (Heintzberger), survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Connie Hedden (Craig) of Dublin, OH, and Christine Amore (Patrick) of Carmel, IN; one son, Peter Mangano of Chicago, IL; five loving grandchildren: Graham Hedden, Matthew Hedden, Vincent Mangano, Alexis Amore and Anna Amore; a sister, Sandra Papp (Albert) of Atlanta, GA; and a brother, David Mangano (Susan) of Lake Barrington, IL.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Friday, April 24th, in St. Pius X Catholic Church, 52553 Fir Rd., Granger. Committal services and burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka. The family will receive friends from 4 until 7 p.m. Thursday, April 23rd, in the Welsheimer Family Funeral Home North, 17033 Cleveland Road. Mr. Mangano was a former parishioner of Corpus Christi Church, South Bend, and St. Pius X Church, Granger.

He attended services at Christ of the Desert Chapel (Sacred Heart Catholic Church) Palm Desert, CA. Mr. Mangano was employed at Oliver Estate, Inc. since 1971 and served as President since 1993. Oliver Estate, Inc. is a private Indiana corporation based in South Bend involved in public and private investments and handles the Oliver family affairs. Mr. Mangano served on various public and private company boards including: Oliver Racing, LLC South Bend, IN Private Co. Chairman of the Board Orchard Software Corporation Carmel, IN Private Co. Board Member BioSante Pharma-ceuticals, Inc. Lincoln-shire, IL Public Co. Board Member, Compensation Committee, Audit Committee ANI Pharmaceuticals West Baudette, MN Public Co.
