Peace and blessings to all of Jim's family and friends.  Even though I was two years ahead of Jim I remember seeing him wandering the hallowed halls of John Adams High School.  I pray that his family and friends share many memories, laugh and cry, and enjoy honoring his full and busy life.  God bless you one and all as another Eagle has flown into the clouds.

I knew Jim from competing against him in the 880 on the Adams track team. While I might place once in awhile, he was sure to win the race. He was a great guy and had running skills that ultimately got him a college scholarship in track.

I managed to reconnect with him a few months ago and we talked about our lives since Adams. He was a winner and a fun person.  Peace to him and his family. May they be sustained by their many good memories and friends.

Jim was an amazing 880 runner, who had the stamina to always finish strong setting half mile records on his way to The state championship. More impressive to me was his shy, humble and sincere demeanor which drew me to him as a great friend. Sorry that I moved to Tennessee and lost touch over the years. Betcha he is winning some 1/2 miles up in heaven. God Bless his family and  all of our former classmates. Dr. Bud Mormon

I greatly admired Jim... his quiet. humble personality, and his determination, strength, and courage as a long distance runner.  He was a mystery to me, so I didn't get to know him personally, but I always knew he was a very unique, exceptional person.  I am still inspired by him.    Sincerely, Bob Johnson
