Duane T. Roach

MISHAWAKA - Duane T. Roach, 72, passed away Monday, July 9, 2018 at Golden Living Center, Mishawaka, Indiana. Duane was born on September 8, 1945 in South Bend, Indiana to the late Raymond and Vivian (Lechlitner) Roach, and has lived in this area all his life. Following high school, he attended culinary classes at IUSB, and at Ivy Tech State College. Duane was a huge Nascar fan. For 34 years, Duane was a Tool Crib Attendant for Dodge Manufacturing, retiring in November of 1999. He also was a past member of the BK Club.

On December 28, 1989, Duane was united in marriage to Janice L. (Freeman) Roach of Mishawaka, who survives. He is also survived by his daughter, Tammy Kline of South Bend; granddaughter, Heather Heston; sister, Linda Roach Jordan of Mishawaka; cousin, Karen (Don) Jordan of Panama City Beach, Florida; and many nieces and nephews. Duane was preceded in death by his parents and two infant brothers.

Funeral Services for Duane will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, July 12, 2018 at Palmer Funeral Home River Park Chapel, 2528 Mishawaka Avenue, South Bend, IN 46615 where friends may gather with the family 3 hours prior to services (11:00am-2:00pm). Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka. The family wishes to express their appreciation to the staff at Center for Hospice for their compassion and care.
