John William Ross

John William Ross went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 22, at the age of 56.
John was born on May 17, 1944, in South Bend, Ind., to Rosezella E. Dugdale-Ross and Edward A. Ross.
John is survived by his loving mother, Rosezella; two brothers, Michael (Betty) Ross of Aurora, Ill., and Edward (Judith) Ross of Sarasota, Fla.; and by his sister, Melinda Ross of South Bend. John is loved and remembered by many wonderful cousins from the Dugdale, Dumont and Kochanowski families. His memory is treasured by his nieces and nephews, Angela Ross of Naperville, Ill., Kurt (Judy) Ross of Plymouth, Mich., Marcia (Stewart) thrower of Canton, Ga., and Lisa Bobay of Fort Wayne, Ind.
John lived his entire life in South Bend, graduating from John Adams High School, class of 1963, and working for the South Bend Tribune and WSBT. He leaves many friends at the Metcalf House and the Madison Center Health Organization. He was a member of the Sunnyside Presbyterian Church.
Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today, July 25, in the HICKEY FUNERAL HOME, 3516 E. Jefferson.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 26, in the Sunnyside Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Robert D. McMullen, assistant pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery.
