James A. Ehlers

WINAMAC, IN – James A. Ehlers, 60, died at 10:15 a.m. Monday, November 17, 2008, at his home. He was born October 12, 1948 in South Bend, Indiana, to the late Robert A. and Lorraine E. (Cloetingh) Ehlers.

Mr. Ehlers, had been an attorney at James A. Ehlers Attorney at Law in Winamac. He was a member of the Pulaski County and Indiana Bar Associations and the Winamac Kiwanis Club. He was a former President of the Pulaski County Community Foundation Board of Directors.

He was a graduate of John Adams High School, South Bend, did undergraduate work at Miami University (Ohio) and graduated from the Indiana University School of Law. He was an avid horseman and had hunted with the Romwell Fox Hunt in Indianapolis for five years.

He is survived by his sister, Lynne E. Whitall of Crownsville, Maryland and two nieces, Laura T. Easter and Heidi E. Franklin; four great-nephews and two great-nieces.

Services were held Saturday, November 22, at Frain Mortuary. Entombment was in the St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger, Indiana.

Memorial contributions may be given to James A. Ehlers Unrestricted Fund at the Pulaski County Community Foundation.

Arrangements were made by Frain Mortuary, Winamac.
