 Linda Eileen Sara

May 1, 1949 – May 28, 1979

Private graveside services were conducted on Thursday afternoon in Fairview Cemetery for Mrs. Linda E. Sara, 30, of 940 Lincoln Way E., who died at 10 a.m. Monday in the University of Texas Cancer Center, Houston, where she had been a patient for three weeks.

Rev. Douglas Smith of Moreau Seminary, Dr. Walter Risler of Indiana University at South Bend and Robert Perry of Elkhart, officiated at the services. The Bubb Funeral Chapel  handled arrangements.

Mrs. Sara, who had been working toward a masters degree and teaching at the University of Notre Dame, was born on May 1, 1949, in Troy, N.Y., and had lived 20 years in this area.

As Linda Ivimey, she married Edward G. Sara on Jan. 24, 1970, in Bloomington, Ind. who survives along with a son, Villa F., at home; her parents, Mrs. Rosalie Simeri of South Bend and William Ivimey of Saranac Lake, N.Y.; six sisters, Mrs. Shirley Schoaf, Mrs. Diana O’Connor and Miss Cynthia Simeri, all of South Bend, and Beth, Patty and Peggy Ivimey, all of Saranac Lake, N.Y., and three brothers, Rocco Simeri of Louisville, Ky.; and Patrick and Joseph Simeri of South Bend.
