Ann Patrice Prebys, 55, of Santa Barbara, California, recently of Evanston, Illinois, died July 7, 2006. Born in South Bend, Indiana, she attended John Adams High School and Indiana University, Bloomington, graduating with a B.A. in psychology.
Ann volunteered for many years at the Blind Institute of Santa Barbara. Held in high esteem as a valued member of the staff, she earned commendation for three years in a row.
Ann is survived by her mother, Mary Carol Prebys; her sister, Marguerite; her brother, Andrew; Auntie Annie, her godmother; Aunt Christine; and Ryan, Mary, Helen, Joseph and Heidi, her nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her beloved father, Joseph K. Prebys, and her dear brother, Christopher Paul Prebys.
Cremation took place on Tuesday, July 11.
Her death is a deep loss to our family. May God rest her soul.
