WINTER PARK. FL - Jennifer A. Casey, 63, of Winter Park, FL, died June 27 at the HospiceCare Center in Louisville, CO.
A memorial service will be held on Sun. July 24th at 1:00 p.m. at the Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home, Elkhart, IN.
Jenny was born July 24, 1947 in Evanston, Ill to Frank and Jessie (Peffley) Casey. She graduated from John Adams High School in South Bend, IN. She received her B.A. from Indiana University and a Master's in Social Work from Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, MI. In June of 1968, Jenny married Don DeGroff. They divorced in 1989.
Jenny was a licensed clinical social worker in Elkhart, IN and later had her own private psychotherapy practice in Winter Park, FL. She was a member of the Junior League of South Bend and was a fan of Notre Dame Football.
Jenny loved her family, friends and work. She touched the lives of many and will be dearly missed.
Survivors: son, David (Julie) DeGroff, Boulder, CO; daughter, Julie (Josh) Maximon, Boulder, CO; brother, Steven Casey of CA; four grandchildren, Jessie and Nate Degroff, Tali and Ivy Maximon of Boulder. She was preceded in death by her parents.
