Ronald D Boatman

 

 Ronald D. Boatman, 59, of Osceola and formerly of Mishawaka, passed away Monday, March 5, 2018.

  Ron was born March 4, 1959 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, a son of the late Carl and Sue (Jernigan) Boatman. He grew up in South Bend and was a graduate of John Adams High School.

  Ron married Mary A. Haines on August 28, 1982. They lived in Mishawaka for many years before moving to Osceola. Ron’s career was in the RV industry and he was currently employed at Keystone RV in Wakarusa. He was a member Granger Community Church. Ron loved riding his Harley Davidson and was a big sports fan. He loved watching ESPN and was a great fan of Notre Dame, Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears. Ron loved his family but was especially fond of his grandchildren.

  Ron’s surviving family includes his wife of over 35 years, Mary; his son, Brandon Boatman of Nappanee; his daughter, Natalie (Andy) Martin of Mishawaka; two granddaughters, Makaila Boatman and McKinzee Martin; and three brothers, Ernie (Connie) Boatman of South Bend, Stephen Boatman of Nappanee and Carl (Kathy) Boatman, Jr. of Sarasota, Florida.

  Besides his parents, Ron was also preceded in death by a grandson, Koltyn Martin.

  Services honoring Ron’s life will be held at 6 pm on Friday, March 9, in Goethals & Wells Funeral Home, 503 W. 3rd Street, Mishawaka, with Pastor David Sjoberg officiating.

  Visitation will be from 4 – 6 pm on Friday in the funeral home.
