William J. Andert

SOUTH BEND - William J. Andert, 59, residing in South Bend, passed away on Sunday, May 21, 2017 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend. Bill, as he was affectionately known, was born on February 3, 1958 in South Bend to William and Jacquelyn (Beissel) Andert. 

On August 14, 1982, Bill married Loreen Carubba, his wife of 35 years who survives. In addition to his wife, Bill is also survived by his father, William Andert; daughter, Olivia Andert of Warwick, RI; son, Erik Andert of Fort Wayne, IN; sisters, Elizabeth Emhem and Kathleen Krebs; and brothers, Michael Andert, James Andert, and Matthew Andert. Bill was preceded in death by his mother, Jacquelyn Andert, as well as his daughter, Madeline Andert in 2002.

Bill graduated from University of Louisiana with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. He was most recently employed as a truck driver for Martin's Supermarkets. Bill worked tirelessly to turn his yard into a beautiful garden that he enjoyed daily.

Funeral services for Bill will be held at 12:00pm on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at Palmer Funeral Homes-Hickey Chapel, 17131 Cleveland Road, South Bend, IN 46635. Inurnment at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park will follow at a later date. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00am-12:00pm on Saturday at the funeral home, prior to services.
