Condolences

SOUTH BEND - Kelly Yvonne Carpenter, 47, passed away at 6:05am on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at her home in South Bend. She was born on September 24, 1969 in South Bend to Terry L. and Cindy L. Francis, who survive her.

On January 26, 1991 in Mishawaka, Kelly married Dan R. Carpenter, who survives her. She is also survived by daughters, Kayla M. Carpenter and Danielle D. Carpenter, both of South Bend; three grandchildren, Kamden, Kadryan, and Landyn; mother- and father-in-law, Brenda and Danny Carpenter of South Bend; sisters, Tara L. Francis and Kristi N. Enyeart, both of South Bend; niece, Alyssa Hair of South Bend; and several other family members including nieces, nephews, brother and sister-in-law.

Kelly was employed as a healthcare provider at Healthwin Specialized Care. She was a 1988 graduate of John Adams High School as well as a 2013 graduate of University of Phoenix, with a bachelor's degree in healthcare administration. In addition to being a fan of Notre Dame football, she enjoyed casinos. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and had a contagious smile and laugh for everyone. Her family was her life. She will be missed more than words can say!

Funeral services for Kelly will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at Palmer Funeral Homes—Hickey Chapel, 17131 Cleveland Road, South Bend, IN. Pastor Ron Drake of Forestbrook Missionary Church in South Bend will officiate. Graveside services and burial will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park in Mishawaka. The family will receive friends from 4:00-8:00pm on Monday, April 17 and from 10:00-11:00am on Tuesday prior to the service at the funeral home.
