Condolences

SOUTH BEND - Romanita “Nita” R. Frazier, 89, residing in South Bend, passed away peacefully at 8:15 am Monday, April 17, 2017, in her home. She was born September 29, 1927, in Grady County, OK, to the late Delbert and Lena (Bearden) Hibray.

On July 29, 1972, in South Bend, Nita married Bob L. Frazier, who survives. In addition to her loving husband of 44 years, she is survived by daughters, Carole L. (Larry) Hanson of Lavern, AZ, Patricia (Randy) Myers of Osceola and Vicki Ann Dutrieux of South Bend; daughter-in-law, Agnes Poyser of Langhome, PA; fourteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Richard E. Poyser; and stepdaughter, Cheri Jean Frederick.

Nita graduated from John Adams High School. She and Bob moved to Tulsa, OK, in 1980, where Nita worked as a staff secretary for the University of Oklahoma until retiring in 1992. They then returned to South Bend to live near family. Nita was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

Graveside services for Nita will be held at 2:30 pm Thursday, April 20, 2017, in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Palmer Funeral Home - Hickey Chapel, and Southlawn Cremation Services are assisting the family with arrangements.

Expressions of sympathy in memory of Nita may be donated to Michiana Lutheran Education Association, Inc., 6840 Nimtz Pkwy., South Bend, IN 46628; or to Center for Hospice Care, c/o Hospice Foundation, 501 Comfort Place, Mishawaka, IN 46545.
