Teresa J. Cook, 67, residing in South Bend, Indiana, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2023 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka.
She was born March 18, 1955, in Plymouth, Indiana to the late Elmer L. McChesney and Iris A. (Long) McChesney.
On December 2, 1972, in South Bend, Teresa was united in marriage to Thomas M. Cook, who survives. She was so happy to have recently celebrated her 50th Wedding Anniversary.
Teresa cherished time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, doing crafts and taking fun trips with them. She loved her family and collecting their family history. She enjoyed kayaking and being by the water. Teresa loved concerts in the parks with her River Park friends and Girls’ nights out.
She was a member of Nuner Knights Reunite Committee gathering old classmates together for a fun night together to raise funds for The Potawatomi Green House.
She is survived by her daughter, Tammy M. (Greg) Laskowski of Osceola; her three grandchildren, William (Hailey) Hurlbut, Samantha (Cory) Christman, and Spencer (Hannah) Laskowski; her three great-grandchildren, Rhylynn, Dawson and Elaina Hurlbut; and her sisters, Sherrie L. Klotz of Mishawaka and Debra J. (Mike) Curl of Osceola; several nieces and nephews; and many special childhood friends.
Along with her parents, Teresa was preceded in death by her two brothers, William McChesney and Robert McChesney.
Per Teresa’s wishes, no services will be held. Palmer Funeral Homes – River Park Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
