     Shirley Ann Hardy

Ann was born November 16, 1934, to the late Lloyd and Esther (Naftzger) West.

Following her graduation from Adams High School in 1952, Ann studied nursing at the Gary Methodist School of Nursing where she became a Registered Nurse.

In 1954 she married Don Hardy at the River Park United Methodist Church in South Bend. They were married 57 years and enjoyed spending the winter months together in Ft. Myers Beach, Florida, and the Alabama Coast.

Ann was employed for many years helping the handicapped children in the Penn Harris Madison School System, and retired in 2000 from the School City of Mishawaka. She enjoyed knitting, doing puzzles, watching the hummingbirds, and was active in the Osceola Community Players as an actress and director for many years.

Ann also was an avid fan of both Penn High School and Notre Dame football.
