John Robert Feferman

SOUTH BEND - John R. "Johnny" Feferman, 55, a Las Vegas resident, passed away among family on July 17, 2012. He is survived by his mother, Carol Feferman, and sisters, Peggy Selesner and Betty Judah, also of Las Vegas. His beloved father, Dr. Martin E. Feferman, passed away just one year ago. The entire Feferman family, formerly of South Bend, Indiana, where John was born in 1956, has made Las Vegas their home in recent years.

As a child, John was a nationally ranked swimmer, winning the National Junior Olympics three years in a row, 1966-1968. As a young man, he was an Indiana high school state swimming champion, and he attended university on a swimming scholarship. In 1985, Johnny received his MBA from the University of Texas, Austin. An avid and accomplished golfer throughout his life, John loved all sports. John was a born salesman and worked as a stockbroker, insurance salesman and in other sales jobs. His charm, humor, kindness and love of life will be missed by family, friends and caregivers, who also came to know his determined strength during his courageous battle against lymphoma.

John Feferman – Las Vegas, Nevada, Johnny fought with determined strength during his courageous battle against lymphoma that finally took his life on July 17, 2012.  We all remember Johnny as a state champion swimmer.  He was also an avid and accomplished golfer throughout his life.
