Richard Wayne Colbert, "Uncle Rick" 70, of Paw Paw, passed away Saturday September 25, 2021 in Kalamazoo. 

He was born July 24, 1951 in South Bend, the son of Cecil Colbert and Alice Joyce (Bulla) Smith. 

Rick was an outgoing and simple man, he enjoyed being around people and never met a stranger. He had a huge heart, his nieces and nephews were the center of his life. Rick grew up in South Bend Indiana where he was a longtime dedicated parishioner at Saint Anthony Catholic Church and an avid Notre Dame fan. During the summers growing up, Rick enjoyed the time spent at Gravel Lake in Lawton.  Rick was employed with Ralph Williams & Associates (Park Jefferson and Castle Point Apartments) for over 25 years. 

He is survived by his sister, Tracy (Scott) Cox and his brother, William G. (Leslie) Swintz Jr., three nieces, Jennifer VanMiddlesworth, Brittany (Jake) Hemry and Jocelyn Witherite; two nephews, Zachary Swintz and Colin Swintz; three great nieces, McKenna, Ensley and Waverly; three great nephews, Chase, Tristan and Remington. 

Richard was preceded in death by his brothers, Ross and Rob, his nephew, Michael and his step father, William G. Swintz, Sr. 

Family and friends are invited to visit Saturday, October 9, 2021, from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, 502 West Michigan Ave., Paw Paw.
