Karen Sue Keck, 80, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2023, at the Ernestine Raclin House in Mishawaka, IN. Born on June 30, 1942, in Mishawaka, IN, she was the daughter of the late Gerard "Jerry" and Berta "Bert" Broeckevelt Dhaene.

Karen was a devoted wife to her late husband, David Lynn Keck, whom she married on July 1, 1961. Together, they shared over 61 years of marriage. Karen was a proud and loving mother to her three children, Douglas R. (Bettie) Keck of Elkhart, IN, Michelle (Scott Pontzious) of Osceola, IN, and Todd David Keck of Mishawaka, IN. She cherished her role as a grandmother to Ashley(Brian) Lambert, Tyler(Ariel) Keck, and Alexa Bendit, and as a great-grandmother to Miles Keck, and Olivia & Lillian Lambert. Karen's family also extended to her beloved Yorkie, Sophie, who brought her immense joy and companionship.

A high school graduate, Karen was an intelligent and hardworking woman. She co-owned Keck's Klear Water and Keck's Koffee Break Systems with her husband, Dave and son, Doug. Together, they built a successful business that served their community for many years. Karen retired in 2007. Karen's dedication to her work and her entrepreneurial spirit were an inspiration to her family and friends.

Karen had a passion for bowling and was a regular participant at the Elks. She had a particular fondness for parrots. Karen was an active member of the American Turners, a national organization that promotes physical education, cultural activities, and social events. She also enjoyed line dancing.

Karen Sue Keck's life will be remembered and celebrated by all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am Friday, June 2, 2023 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 52553 Fir Road, Granger, IN. Friends may visit with the family for one hour prior to mass at the church. Palmer Funeral Homes- Hickey Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
