Carolyn Sue Reed (Kaiser)

Carolyn Kaiser, 79 years old, passed away Friday, July 2, 2021 at St Joseph Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka, IN. She was born June 2, 1942 in Mishawaka to the late Adrien and Beldora (Bollman) Reed. On June 25, 1960 in Mishawaka, Carolyn married the love of her life, Clayson E. Kaiser, who passed away in 2003.

Carolyn lived most of her life in the Michiana area. She graduated from John Adams High School in the spring of 1960. Carolyn was a member and highly involved with Bertrand Bible Church in Niles. She loved to work and help out with youth group and Vacation Bible School. She loved listening to gospel music and would even attend the National Quartet Convention. Carolyn loved to play games and do puzzles. She loved to travel and take bus trips – especially to the Ozark mountains of Branson, Missouri. Carolyn also had a great passion for interior decorating.

Carolyn is survived by her children, Don (Lori) Kaiser of South Bend, Joseph (Tina) Kaiser of Niles, MI, and Debra (Thomas) Borsodi of South Bend; grandson, Michael Kaiser of Osceola; two great-grandsons, Clayson and Timothy Carter; brothers, Robert Reed of Granger and William (Sharon) Reed of Titusville, FL; sister-in-laws, Irma Reed and Carol (Mike) Balasa. Carolyn is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Along with her parents and loving husband, Clayson, Carolyn is preceded in death by her grandchildren, Justin Kaiser and Julie Carter; sister, Donna Eby; and brother, Richard Reed.

Funeral Services will be Thursday, July 8, 2021 at 2:00pm at Bertrand Bible Church, 1008 Ontario Rd, Niles, MI 49120. Pastor Tony Slagle will officiate. Friends may visit with the family from 4:00pm-8:00pm Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at Palmer Funeral Home-Bubb Chapel, 3910 N Main St, Mishawaka, IN 46545, and one hour prior to the services on Thursday at the church.
