My sincerest condolances to Barry's family.  Although we were not friends I do recall seeing Barry's friendly face wandering the hallowed halls of John Adams.  I remember him as one of the good guys as viewed by a lowly sophomor.  I know you all a sharing lots of laughter and smiles through the tears, remembering a life well lived.  Another Eagle has flown into the skies.  God bless you one and all!  G

I was Barry's neighbor on E. Cedar Street two doors down on the West Side of Eddy Street. We hung with Barry and his older brother, Donald, as kids. Their basement was a treat for us neighborhood kids since that is where they raised live bait as a business. It was like a "Bait Zoo" to us city kids. Their night crawlers were huge. Also, they were the first ones in the neighborhood to get television, so we were more or less adapted by the Quimby Family, on weekends. His parents treated we neighborhood kids royally. I remember having their uncle as a substitute teacher on occasion at Perley Elementary School a few blocks north. Note: I was a grad of John Adams High School in 1956 whereas Barry, being younger, and a grad of Adams in 1959. It was pleasing to see that he made such good use of his time here in mortality.
