SOUTH BEND - Sharon Schulman, 72, passed away in her residence Thursday with loved ones nearby. She was born on August 9, 1941, in South Bend, to the late Albert and Eva (Cohen) Schulman.

Sharon is survived by her two children: Ruth L. (Robert) Hutt of Granger and David A. (Elizabeth) Wright of St. Louis, MO; a sister, Sara (Abraham) Marcus of Granger; six grandchildren: Samantha, Allison and Noah Hutt, and Zachary, Brandon and Jeremy Wright; as well as her former husband, Richard Wright.

Sharon was a member of Sinai Synagogue, Sinai Sisterhood, Hebrew Orthodox Congregation and Temple Beth El, and was a life member of Hadassah. She also was a pediatric volunteer at the former St. Joseph Hospital in South Bend.

Funeral services will be held TODAY, Sunday, November 10, 1:00 p.m., at the McGann Hay Funeral Homes, Granger Chapel, 13260 SR 23 (enter off Cherry Rd.), with Rabbi Michael Friedland officiating. Burial will follow at the Hebrew Orthodox Cemetery, Mishawaka.
