Richard K. Wattles, 63, Bradenton, died Aug. 14, 2004. He was born May 1, 1941, in Detroit and came to Manatee County in 1988 from Park Forest, Ill. He served in the Navy from 1959 to 1963. He was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, June; a sister, Joan of Seattle; and brothers James R. Jr. of Bloomington, Ind., and Gary of Boise, Idaho.
No visitation is scheduled. The memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Emmanuel United Methodist Church, Bradenton. Brown and Sons Funeral Home, 43rd Street Chapel, is in charge.
