Lloyd E. Gearhart

SCOTTSDALE, AZ - Lloyd E. Gearhart, 74, of Ludington, Michigan, and Scottsdale, Arizona, passed away on January 9, 2012.
Born in South Bend, Indiana, he was preceded in death by parents, Idah and Lloyd J. Gearhart.
Lloyd proudly served as a US Marine, and built a long and successful career in the insurance industry, retiring as CEO of Western Diversified. In retirement he served on the board of West Shore Community College, Hamlin Lake Assoc., and was a tireless supporter, fundraiser and enthusiastic fan of his alma mater, Western Michigan University.
Lloyd will always be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather; and for his great personal generosity and incredible sense of humor.
Lloyd is survived by his wife, Pepper Gearhart; his sister, Joan White; three sons, David, John, Jim; daughter, Susan Tully; and 6 grandchildren.
A celebration of Lloyd's life will be held at the United Methodist Church in Ludington, MI, on July 7th at 2 P.M., with a reception following at the Gearhart home.
