Stuart Irwin Chaden

Stuart Chaden, 38, of 412 S. 25th St, died at 10 p.m. Friday in St. Joseph Hospital, Mishawaka, of complications from third degree chemical burns he suffered in an accident March 10. Chaden, who was an employee at Chrysal Cleaners, 702 E. Jefferson Blvd., apparently spilled a quantity of cleaning fluid on his clothes, and the fluid ignited. He was taken to the hospital, suffering from burns to his chest, abdomen, back and both arms.

He was born on January 17, 1938 in Chicago, coming to South Bend 23 years ago from Chicago. Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Flora Chaden of South Bend and a brother, Lee, of Cincinnati.

Funeral Services will be held Monday in the Original Weinstein and Sons Funeral Home, Chicago. Burial will be in Waldheim Cemetery, Chicago. The Forest G. Hay and Son Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
