Dennis Craig Cooper, 83, of South Bend, Indiana, passed away on Thursday October 5, 2023 at home.  He was born on October 20, 1939 in Mishawaka, Indiana to Hale F. and Alice (Foltz) Cooper.  He married Martha Marshall almost fifty years ago.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Martha; his children: Constance (Tony) Arndt, April (Conrad) Stratton, Victoria (Chip) Judy, Natalie Cooper and Christopher Cooper; 9 grandchildren: Carissa, Samantha, Anthony, Matthew, Ronald III, Stephanie, Chelsea, Mikalah and Kahleb and 23 great-grandchildren; a brother, Dean Cooper; and a sister, Roxanne.

He served in the United States Army as an Army Ordinance Officer.  He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses at Miami Trails.  Dennis was very artistic in many ways.   He had a green thumb and he was an excellent wood worker.  He loved being a tailor- He made many outfits for his daughters and even made a wedding dress for one of them.  He made a prom dress for his granddaughter, as well as having made various bridesmaid dresses for family weddings.

He also made historically accurate period dresses for ceramic figurines.

Cremation will take place with burial at a later date at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.

A Memorial Service will be scheduled at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
