Linda L. Minne
Linda L. Minne, 75, of Edwardsburg, Michigan, passed away at 8:25 p.m. Monday, September 11, 2023, at her residence surrounded by family. Linda was born on June 14, 1948, in South Bend, Indiana, to Clayton and Evelyn (Kovach) Newcomer, who both have preceded her in death.
On August 6, 1966, Linda and her loving husband, Ray Minne were married at Our Lady of Hungary Church in South Bend. During their 57 years of marriage, Linda and Ray lived in Roswell, New Mexico; Shreveport, Louisiana, Mishawaka, Indiana and finally in Edwardsburg, Michigan.
Ray survives along with their two sons; Scott (Allison Swinehart) Minne of Elkhart, and Mark (Monica) Minne of Granger, four grandchildren; Victoria, Timothy, Kayla and Rachel, two great grandchildren; Carson and Dominick and one sister, Patricia (Rod) Seifert of Edwardsburg.
Linda graduated from John Adams High School and while raising her two sons, earned an Associate’s degree in radiologic technology in 1976 where she was awarded the Mallinckrodt Outstanding Student Award. Linda worked in the medical field as an x-ray technician for over 25 years before finally retiring in 2003.
Linda was an artistic soul making beautiful painted crafts, and she loved her animals. She enjoyed reading, playing cards, spending time with her grandchildren, and attending her great grandsons’ baseball games. In the winter she enjoyed walking the beaches in Destin, Florida and enjoyed time at their cottage on Cedar Lake in the summer. Linda was a loving wife and amazing mom and nana, and a great sister. Linda will be dearly missed.
A memorial visitation for Linda will be held on Wednesday, September 20 from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the Palmer Funeral Home – Bubb Chapel, 3910 North Main Street, Mishawaka.
