He is preceded in death by his late wife, Christina (Smith) Pixley. He is survived by his children, Allen (Judith) Pixley Jr., David Pixley Sr., Shauna (Don) Carrico, and Michael Pixley; sisters, Pamela (Thomas) Wilson, Debby (Larry) Fritz, and Cindy (Douglas) Crumley; brother Robert (Monique) Brewer; sister-in-law, Cindy (Eric Grenert) Stewart; niece, Mellissa (Micah) Towne; great nephew, Maxwell; nephew, Mathew Stewert; grandchildren, Taylor (Luke) Romine, David Pixley Jr, Addison Pixley, Zachary Pixley, Donnie Carrico, and Katelin Pixley; and many other nieces and nephews that he cared for and loved as his own.

Allen proudly served his country as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corp., serving as a chef in the Vietnam War, holding many distinguished medals.

Allen was a machinist for South Bend Lathe prior to becoming the owner and operator of Container Inspection Systems in Mishawaka. He loved gadgets and technology. He also enjoyed golfing, camping, cooking, and vacationing in Tennessee, and could often be found relaxing watching his favorite television shows.

Allen took pride in taking care of his nieces and nephews and helping raise them as if they were his own. He always wanted them to know how special they were to him. This was evidenced with the numerous photos of them you could find throughout his home.

Allen will be greatly missed, but we have peace knowing he will be joining the love of his life Chris in heaven.
