SOUTH BEND - Janice M. Reith, 69, of South Bend, passed away following a short illness on September 21, 2013, at Woodridge Assisted Living. She was born on March 16, 1944, in Mishawaka, to the late George and Gladys Choquette.

Janice is survived by 2 daughters, Rebecca (Kim) Egendoerfer of Mishawaka, Deborah (Charlie) Grenert of Mishawaka; one son, Randy (Olga) Einfalt of Mishawaka; and a stepson, Rob Reith of South Bend; 2 brothers, Robert Choquette of Arkansas and George Choquette of Mishawaka; a sister, Barb Albers of St. Louis; 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one grandchild.

Janice graduated from John Adams High School.

During her life she was a homemaker, a waitress, a retail worker, and a child care provider. Janice was an avid dog lover, and enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Burial will take place today, September 25, 2013, at Rice Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Humane Society of St. Joseph County. Elkhart Cremation Services is entrusted with arrangements.
