Fernanda "Freddie" Kay Waldman August 25, 1944 - February 28, 2012 South Bend - Fernanda "Freddie" Kay Waldman, 67 of San Marcos, CA, beloved wife of Robert Waldman for 37 years and dear sister of local residents, Andrea C. Ruttan and Carl M. Kay, passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 in her home after a long nine year battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis and Hypertension. She is now at peace and freed from the suffering she had the past few years.

Freddie was born on August 25, 1944 in South Bend, to Matthew and Antoinette Klosowski (Kay) who preceded her in death.

After graduating from John Adams High School in 1962, she moved to California and spent most of the next 50 years in the southern California region.

On January 10, 1976 in Mobile, Alabama she married Robert Waldman who survives and is now living with his daughter in Riverside, California.

Also surviving are her step daughters, Kate and husband Bill Hall of Riverside, CA and Jennifer Waldman of Hollywood, CA. A step son, Jamie Waldman preceded her in death. Step grandchildren Morgan (Gordon Markham) of Sneadsferry, No. Carolina, and Brooks Gehring of Riverside, CA children of Kate Hall and Tyler and Ben Waldman, children of Jamie and Charlotte Waldman of Baltimore, Maryland. In addition she leaves behind sisters-in-law, Michelene Kay of South Bend, Florence Waldman, Huntington Beach, CA and Nancy Waldman of Claremont, CA, also many nieces and nephews.

Freddie was loved and will be dearly missed by all of her family as well as her many friends and business associates. Before her illness forced her retirement in the spring of 2010 she was a realtor who specialized in senior mobile home sales in the north county of San Diego.

The Neptune Society of San Diego County handled the arrangements for her cremation and ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME 824 S. Mayflower Rd is assisting the local family. A memorial celebration of life will be held sometime in the near future. Condolences for the family may be made at www.sjfh.net
