Karen and I were not friends in high school, but I do remember seeing her wandering the hallowed halls of John Adams, ususally smiling.  I'm sorry for your loss.  Share many memories and laugh through the tears.  God bless you one and all as you share morn her loss and celebrate her life!  G

Karen was a senior biology student of mine in 1962 when I did my student teaching at Adams under Ernest Litweiler. She was an outgoing, attractive young woman with above average intellect. I remember a rather surprising moment for her (could have been Penny Postle). A big cecropia moth hatched in the classroom, flew to her feet and climbed under her long skirt. She freaked out, yelling for me to grab it as she raised her skirt. I captured the moth about mid thigh saving us both further embarrassment. May she rest in peace!
