Pat was a cherished friend and member of the Allegro String Quartet. We were together for many years, starting at Nuner and throughout our years at Adams. David Moore (1964), Barbara Schrop Taylor (1963) and I wish Pat the joy of eternal music.

This is a photo of the Allegro String Quartet taken about 1960. Pat was the sweetest person and a wonderful cellist. My memories of our years together were filled with joy and the excitement of first discovering the great string quartet literature. I hope that Pat's love of music helped sustain her through life's struggles and joys. RIP sweet Pat.

I so remember the Allegro Quartet!  RIP, Pat.....am sure you provided your family with beautiful music throughout the years and most likely mentored your children and grandchildren in music.

I met Pat when we were students at Nuner School; she was playing cello and I was learning violin. Pat, Margie McHugh, David Moore and I formed a string quartet and competed in local, regional and state contests. The four of us were committed to our group and practiced many times at one another's homes and later at John Adams. We also played for weddings and banquets and even demonstrated for a music teachers convention at the Palmer House in Chicago. One summer we gave a recital at Notre Dame. The four of us were the dearest of friends and enjoyed many happy moments together.  Pat was always kind, caring and thoughtful.  She was devoted to her church also.

May you rest in peace, Pat, and know you are loved and missed by your long time friends in music..

Barbara Taylor, Knoxville, Tennessee
