Marsha L. Vanslager

October 19, 1944 – June 15, 2019

GRANGER – Marsha L. (Kryder) Vanslager, 74 residing in Granger, Indiana passed away Saturday, June 15, 2019 at The Hearth at Juday Creek, Granger.

Marsha was born on October 19, 1944 in South Bend, Indiana to the late Norman Kryder and Elizabeth (Nys) Kryder and has been a lifelong resident of this area.  As a child, she attended services at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart on the campus of the University of Notre Dame.  While living at The Hearth of Juday Creek, she attended Chapel Mass Services lead by the Staff at St. Pius X Catholic Church.  She was a loving wife and mother, and cherished her role as a homemaker.

On July 17, 1980 in South Bend, she was united in marriage to William F. Vanslager, Sr., a United State Navy Veteran of World War II.  William preceded her in death on May 22, 2018.  Marsha is survived by their son, William (April) Vanslager, Jr. of South Bend.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, June 21, 2019 at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, 375 W. Cleveland Road, Granger, IN 46645, where she will be laid to rest next to her husband, William.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Harbor Light Hospice, 1608 E.
