BRUCE D. FISHER

OSCEOLA - Bruce David Fisher, age 40 passed away Sunday, July 28, 2013 at his home in Osceola. Bruce was born January 4, 1973 in Mishawaka, Indiana.

Bruce was a 1991 graduate of John Adams High School in South Bend, and recently completed his training at Ivy Tech with a CNC machinist's certificate.

On November 19, 2009, he married Erica Bevis in South Bend. Erica survives, along with his son, Derek A. Fisher of South Bend, two step daughters, Katlyn and Jordyn Dominiak of Osceola, a grandson, Braydin M. Kinser, his father, Bruce H. (Helen) Fisher of Osceola, his mother Sandy Fisher of Bremen, and his sisters, Keri Fisher of Mishawaka and Kelly M. Fisher of Bremen. Bruce is also survived by his step brothers William (Adrienne) Slates of Osceola, and Chad (Kim) Slates of Mishawaka, and his step sister Patti (Bob) Reppert of Osceola. Surviving as well are his in-laws Glen & Jeanne Bevis, several Aunts & Uncles and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held from 4-8 pm Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Osceola. Funeral services will be held at 11am Thursday, August 1, 2013 at Chapel Hill with interment to follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.

Bruce was employed several years with Bruce Fisher Concrete in Osceola and most recently as a machinist at Elkhart Brass. He enjoyed spending time with his wife, family and friends, and was an avid fan of Chicago White Sox baseball, Notre Dame football, and NASCAR racing. He was also quite handy, and enjoyed fixing things around the house. In his younger years, he owned the Ford Mustang 5.0 and also loved Corvettes.
