John Roger Humphreys

John Roger Humphreys , age 71 of Canton, Georgia passed away on April 6,2023.

Born in South Bend, Indiana on May 15,1950 to parents John Humphreys and Sterling Macready Humphreys. John was the youngest of three children, sister Judith Humphreys Woltman of Tampa, FL (deceased), sister Sterling Katherine Humphreys of South Bend, IN. John is survived by two sons , J R Humphreys of Sunrise, FL and Daniel Humphreys of Plantation, FL. A niece Jackie Woltman Zinn of Tampa, FL and and a nephew, Jim Woltman, of Fort Wayne, IN. Nephew Michael Komasinski of Brooklyn, NY and niece Stefanie Komasinski Barbee of Long Beach, CA.

John R Humphreys was a graduate of John Adams High School and graduated from Ball State University. John had a gift for sales beginning in high school working for Sears , selling paint products. John later worked for Sherwin Williams Paints for many years in the Florida and Georgia are areas.

John contracted Parkinsons and became an avid advocate and tireless crusader for Parkinsons research. He was a participant in numerous clinical trails for Parkinsons research with Emory University.

The family is planning a Celebration of life at a later date. Contributions can be made to the Michael J Fox Foundation for Parkinsons Research P.O. Box 5014 Hagerstown, MD 21741.
