Bobbie Frank Whitlock

July 9, 1950 ~ November 9, 2023 (age 73)

Bobbie Frank Whitlock, 73, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, of South Bend Indiana, departed this life on Thursday, November 9th, 2023, after an extended illness.

On July 9th in Trenton, Tennessee he was born to the union of Isiah Whitlock Sr and Ruth (Moore) Whitlock. As a young child he moved to South Bend, Indiana. He was united in wedlock to Loretta Whitlock on December 31, 1987. To that union was born 2 sons, Justin and Joel Whitlock. Bobbie graduated from John Adams High School in South Bend, Indiana. He worked as a head chef at the Family and Children Center and in maintenance department. He also loved operating his own business at the farmers market and meeting new people, he never met a stranger. Some of Bobbies hobbies were playing his harmonica, enjoying spending time with family and friends telling jokes. Bobbie's favorite signature line was “I’m doing great!”.

Loving family members who survive to mourn his loss include spouse Loretta, 2 sons, Justin Whitlock of South Bend, Indiana and Joel Whitlock of St. Paul, Minnesota. 5 sisters, Velma Lloyd, Beverly Taylor, Deborah Riley, Michelle (James) Stewart, all of South Bend Indiana, Ruth Ward of Independence Missouri, 1 brother, Isiah Whitlock Jr of New York, New York. 1 grand-daughter Ella Jai Whitlock along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many relatives and friends, who will cherish his memory.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Isiah Sr and Ruth Whitlock. A sister, Kimberly Whitlock, 2 brothers, Donnie Ray Whitlock and Christopher Whitlock.

Funeral Services are 11am on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, in Palmer Funeral Home – West Chapel 2702 Lincolnway West, South Bend, IN 46628, where family and friends may begin to gather at 10am.

Michael White (1969)

Robert and I shared the same homeroom. I remember him as a really nice guy.  We were in a few classes together and I liked talking with him.  May he rest in peace.
