Patricia Jane Donnelly

SOUTH BEND – Patricia J. Donnelly, 68, passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at her home in South Bend. Patricia was born on August 23, 1946 in South Bend, Indiana to the late Stephen T. and Cleo (Fritz) Mellinger and has been a lifelong resident of the South Bend area.
She was united in marriage to James R. Donnelly who preceded her in death on February 19, 2002.
Patricia is survived by her daughters, Christine (Al) Dillard of Sawyer, Michigan, Colleen (Kevin) Holaway of Mishawaka; sons, Michael Donnelly of South Bend, Patrick Donnelly of Florida; and nine grandchildren. She is also survived by four brothers, Stephen (Irene) Mellinger of Indiana, Thomas Mellinger of California, Richard (Lindsey) Mellinger of California, and Timothy Mellinger of Florida; and brother-in-law, Jim Hamman of Indiana. Patricia was preceded in death by her sister, Susan Hamman.
Patricia was a 1964 graduate of John Adams High School, South Bend and took an active role in their Alumni Association. She was a member of St. James Episcopal Church, South Bend, IN.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, February 15, 2015 at Palmer Funeral Homes – River Park, 2528 West Mishawaka Avenue, South Bend, IN 46615. Friends may visit with the family from 12:00 PM until the time of the service.
