Jerome P. Acito, 54, of Anderson, Ind., formerly of South Bend, died at 5:15 a.m. Tuesday in St. John's Hospital, Anderson, after a brief illness. He was born on Jan 30, 1923, in South Bend, and lived in Anderson two years, moving there from South Bend.

He married Betty Neeser, who survives, along with three sons, Ralph and John, both of South Bend, and Mike of Logansport; three grandchildren; two brothers, John and Joe, both of South Bend; two sisters, Mrs. Rose Terry of South Bend and Mrs. Mary Jordan of Rock Island, Ill., and his mother, Mrs. Pasqualina Actio of South Bend.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the Forest G. Hay Funeral Home, 1201 S. Michigan where services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, with Rev. James R. Bartels, associate pastor of St. Mathew's Cathedral, officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Actio was employed by Indiana Bell Telephone Co. and was a veteran of World War II.
