Edward Keith Kalberer

Oct. 20, 1924 – Nov. 25, 1983

Edward K. Kalberer, 59, of 19364 Palisade, died at 10:30 p.m. Friday in Memorial Hospital after a sudden illness. He was inventory control manager for Town & Country Gates Chevrolet.

He was born on Oct. 20, 1924, in Lafayette and had lived here since 1936, coming from Lafayette. He was married on Sept. 15, 1957, in South Bend to Wilma Reynolds who survives.

Also surviving  are a daughter, Karen Ann Kalberer of Indianapolis: a son, Kurt Edward Kalberer of South Bend; and his mother, Mrs. Bessie Kalberer of South Bend.

Friends may call from 6:30 to 7 p.m. Monday at the Clay United Methodist Church. A memorial service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Monday at the church with Rev. William Imler, pastor, officiating. There will be a private interment at Riverview Mausoleum.

He was a member of Clay United Methodist Church, Portage Lodge No. 675 F. & A.M, Avalon Grotto, South  Bend Chapter No. 29 of RAM, United Methodist Men of the Church, South Bend Council No. 82 R & S M and South Bend Commandry No. 13 K.T.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the Clay United Methodist Church. The Welsheimer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
