Donald A. Neher

Dr. Donald A. Neher, 55, of Topeka, Kan., formerly of South Bend, died May 2 in the Kansas University Medical Center, Kansas City, Kan., after a  three-month illness. Burial was in the Valley Falls Cemetery, Valley Falls, Kan. Memorial contributions may be made to The Villages, Inc., P.O. Box 1695, Topeka, 66601.

Dr. Neher was a member of the medical staff of the Veterans Administration Medical Center, Topeka, and a former staff member of the Menninger Foundation, Topeka.

Born on Sept. 24, 1924, in Dayton, Ohio, he was a graduate of John Adams High School, Indiana University, Bloomington, and the Indiana University School of Medicine. He did his residence in psychiatry at the Menninger Foundation.

He married Judy Leutert on Dec. 30, 1971. She survives along with a son, Jonathan, at home; two sisters, Mrs. Harry (Ruth) Reese of Tucson, Ariz., and Mrs. Charles (Helen) Wallace, of Garrett, and a brother, Lt. Cmdr. Paul Neher, USN, ret.
