Phyllis J. (Reed) Kohen
KOHEN, Phyllis Jean Died Nov. 21, 2007, in Palm Harbor under the care of hospice. Originally from South Bend, IN, Phyllis moved to the Tampa Bay area in 1976. She was an executive secretary and homemaker, active in B'Nai B'rith and Hadassah. She was also a world class Mah-Johng player. Preceding her in death were her husband, Clifford, and daughter, Celianne Hamilton of South Bend. Survivors include: daughter, Kathleen Shock, Palm Harbor; son, Robert Kohen, Tampa; daughter-in-law, Catherine Kohen, Tampa; sister, Ruthann Leonard, Tampa; 6 grandchildren: Emily Shock, Sarasota, Julie Hamilton, South Bend, Trevor and Gwen Benton, Tampa, Joshua and Lindsey Kohen, Tampa; 7 nieces and nephews; a great-grand-daughter, Tayla Benton, Tampa; neighbors, and friends who were of great support, and her gentle physicians. Donations in her memory may be made to the Hospice of the Florida Suncoast, The Scleroderma Foundation or The Kidney Foundation.
