Eileen Rosemary (Walsh) Yeagley, 79, of Granger Ind., passed away peacefully at The Acres Nursing Facility in New Carlisle, Ind., on Sunday , Sept. 8, following a lengthy illness.

Eileen was born June 2, 1923, to Thomas Joseph Walsh and Martha (Mandler) Walsh in South Bend, Ind.  They preceded her in death.

On May 14, 1943, Eileen R. Walsh married Earl Yeagley Jr., also of South Bend, in Ontario, Calif., where he was in flight training in the Army Air Corps. When he was sent overseas, she returned to South Bend to be joined by him after his service where they remained lifelong residents. She was a true partner in marriage for 59 years, and was loved deeply by her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Earl; and son, Laurance Alan Yeagley of Tulsa, Okla., and wife Lucia; a daughter, Jill Anne (Yeagley) Price and her husband Jim of Albuquerque, N.M.; grandchildren, Todd Yeagley of Philadelphia, Tristan Yeagley of Tulsa, Okla., and Jeremy Price of Albuquerque. Eileen is also survived by her sister, Mary (Walsh) Jackey, and husband, Frank of San Marcos, Calif.

Eileen was first and foremost dedicated to her family and thereafter an avid artist and photographer. She was especially interested in outdoor scenes and fall foliage. She was a member of the South Bend Art Center, the Watercolor Society, and was a longtime volunteer at the Logan Center in South Bend.

A private memorial service will be held for the family and there will be no other services or visitation. Arrangements are being handled by the Welshheimer Funeral Home North. The family wishes that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the local Alzheimers Chapter.
