Services for Melita Belting, 60, of 16186 W. Jackson Rd., who died Saturday night in St. Joseph Hospital, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph Church. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. today in Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home,  where a wake service will be at 3. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Diabetes Association of St. Joseph County.

Mrs. Belting was born June 4, 1924, in Bourbon and lived in this area most of her life. She worked as a secretary for Indiana University at South Bend and was a member of St. Joseph’s Church.

On Dec. 15, 1945, as Melita Williamson, she married Millard Belting, who died in 1979. Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Hartsough of Mishawaka; four sons, Philip M., Craig S., Gary C. and Douglas L., all of Mishawaka; six grandchildren, two sisters, Enola Powell of New Paris, Ohio, and Marie Summy of Bourbon; and two brothers, George Williamson of Kimmell and Russell Williamson of Virginia Beach, Va.
