MISHAWAKA - Cynthia Ann Waechter, 62, of Mishawaka, passed away at 12:35 p.m. Friday, November 21, 2014, at the South Bend Hospice House. She was born Feb. 25, 1952, in South Bend, to the late Carl & Ruth (Ourebeck) Waechter.

Surviving are a brother, Thomas F. Waechter; her companion of 17 years, John Ernest, both of Mishawaka; and her beloved English bulldog, Maddie. She was preceded in death by a sister.

Cynthia was an avid NASCAR fan and her favorite driver was Ryan Newman. She loved Notre Dame women's basketball and also loved her English Bulldogs. Cynthia worked as a waitress at Roc's Sports Cafe‚ in Mishawaka.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Elkhart Cremation Services is entrusted with her arrangements. Memorial contributions may be given to the South Bend Hospice House.
