SOUTH BEND - Dennis Raymond Lovelett, 80, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2016, in South Bend, IN. Dennis was born on July 18, 1935, in Cook County, Illinois, to Margorie Metzger Lovelett, age 25, and Donald Frank Lovelett, age 26.
Dennis attended Adams High School in South Bend IN, and after graduation, proudly served in the Air Force both at home and oversees in Japan. Dennis was employed as an airplane mechanic, and later at Allied Signal as a senior technical writer. He retired from Allied Signal in 2001.
Dennis especially enjoyed traveling to the Florida Keys and remodeling vintage Mustang cars. Dennis has two sons, Bruce Lovelett, 57, and Gary Lovelett, 55. Later in 1972, he married again to Patricia Ann (Kambol) Meade in South Bend, IN. He was a loving stepfather to her four children. His death was preceded by his wife, Patricia, married 33 years, and by two stepchildren, Donald Meade and Christine Meade Warford. His surviving stepchildren are Paula Meade and Kurt P. Meade of South Bend.
